The Ant and the Grasshopper

蚂蚁和蚱蜢

On one fine summer's day in a field a Grasshopper was hopping about in a musical mood. An ant passed by bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.

一个阳光明媚的夏天，一只蚱蜢在田野里蹦蹦跳跳，乐不可支。一只蚂蚁扛着一穗玉米，辛辛苦苦地走向蚁巢。

蚱蜢邀请蚂蚁坐下来和他聊天。但是蚂蚁拒绝说“冬天我要储存食物”。蚂蚁问蚱蜢：“你为什么不呢？”

"Pooh! Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got enough food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil.

“呸！为什么要担心冬天？”蚱蜢说：“现在我们有足够的食物。”但是蚂蚁继续前进，继续努力。Finally, when winter came, the Grasshopper found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing corn and grain from their storage.

最后，冬季来临时，蚱蜢发现自己快要饿死了，而且它看见蚂蚁从它们的仓库里分发玉米和谷物。Then the Grasshopper understood that…

后来蚱蜢明白了…It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.
