剑桥少儿英语考试（CYLE）是剑桥大学考试委员会（UCLES）一套专门为7-12岁儿童的英语水平而设计的测试系统。这次考试分为三个等级，引进中国后，增加了准备等级，即准备等级。（Pre-Starters）、一级（Starters）, 二级（Movers）和三级（Flyers）。一至三级教材新增单词量分别为682、1150和666。

根据收集整理剑桥少儿英语二字字帖，共分为Name、Body and face、Places and directions、Family and friends、Transport、Clothes、Adjectives、Time、Question words、Weather、Job、Animals、Health、Food and drinks、Colour、Sports and leisure、Phrase、School、Number、The world around us、The home等二十一类。
