大家好呀!
每学期结束前,我都会带着孩子们玩一个单词游戏,每次都是气氛的高潮。
玩法其实很简单。
我将打开单词表:
描述一个单词,让孩子们竞争猜测。
还可以尝试玩一玩:
It starts with /b/,
it's the color of the sky.
It starts with /b/.
It's next to the sea.
You can build a sandcastle on it.
你有没有注意到,我说你猜怎么玩,就像下面这样,看到字卡,说出来,说出来beach有什么区别?
我说你猜,需要孩子听懂三个句子:
“它以/b/音开头 ;
它挨着大海;
你可以在上面建沙堡。
只有当你理解了这三个句子,你才能猜出来 beach.
所以,同一个单词游戏,但用句子的整体输入方式,比看图说词,更能提高整体英语水平。
在课堂上,由于时间的关系,我们会穿插玩耍。
但是我们在家里学习,我特别建议大家多用整句输入,整体理解这个思路。
核心思想很简单,就是描述猜词。
我抛砖引玉,帮大家总结一下从什么角度可以描述的话题,都是特别简单的句子。
每个人都可以在这个基础上发散思想。
01
我说你指
先来最简单的。
例如,我们想复习这些五官:
首先想到的方法可能是:
指母亲,哪一个是hair, 哪个是teeth.
第一步,让我们试着把这个指令变成一个完整的句子:
Can you point to 'hair', please?
这样,孩子至少学会了 "你能指一下...吗?" 这个句型。
这是以后英语课很常用的课堂指令。
接下来,我们试着问一个hair/teeth/belly/neck这个词的句型。
例如,像贝恩施一样,问 Who has black hair?/ Who has white teeth?

这种方法的思路就是找一个能把这个词放进去的句型,用这个句型来问。
食物,可以问Do you like..?
动作,可以问 Can you ..?
动物,可以问 Who has..? (a tail, big ears, long arms...)
实现整句输入最简单的方法就是套句式的方法。
你可以从它开始。

描述外形猜词
接下来,我们可以尝试描述。
每个人都喜欢孩子,先用基本的句型。
第一类,外形有特点,如动物、水果、玩具等大类,可以尝试描述外形。
孩子能听懂什么,我们就说什么,不要超出他们能理解的难度太多。
例如动物:
我们可以说:
It has big ears and a long nose.
It has small ears and a big belly.
It has a long tail and long arms.
It has strong legs and a pouch. (不会说pouch, 说bag on the belly也行)。
水果:
最初是颜色,大小:
It's red and small. It looks like a heart.
It's big and round. It's green outside and red inside.
It's yellow. It's bigger than an egg.
It's brown outside and white inside.
如果孩子们能理解得更多,我们的语言也会更丰富。
像西瓜一样,下一阶段我们可以说:
It's juicy.
It has tiny black seeds inside.
It has dark green stripes outside.

描述功能猜词
文具、交通工具这两大类,可以描述功能。
文具:
You can write with it.
You can put your books, pens, and crayons in it.
You wanted to write 2, but you wrote 3. This can make 2 go away.
交通工具:
It can take you to the hospital.
Police officers drive it to catch the bad guy.

描述情景猜词
地点,季节可以描述此时你可以在这个地方做什么。
地点:
If you are having a fever, we need to go there.
Doctors work here.
Police officers work here.
If you lost your bag, you can go to this place. Police officers are there to help you.
You can see many fire engines here.
You go to this place from Monday to Friday.
Your teachers work here.
You can see your best friend Alex here.
时节:
Leaves start to grow.
You can make a snowman.
You can fly a kite.
You can see so many pretty flowers.
Leaves start to fall.
It rains a lot.
You can see snow.
情感类,可以描述,当...发生的时候,你会的...
When mom makes cupcakes, you are...
If all the cupcakes fall on the floor, you are...
If a boy downstairs pushes you, you are...

联想猜词
这款游戏比较开放一点,不限制话题。
只要孩子能通过这句话把一个词联系起来,我们就能说一个小句子。
例如:
I can fly a kite today. ---windy.
I need an umbrella. ---sunny/rainy.
We can play throw and catch. ---ball
I wish I could fly.---kite
I don't like washing my hair.---bubbles
I don't like getting up early.---rooster
I found a bone in the grass.---dog
在启蒙初期,单追求词量,意义不大。
把单词放在句子里,让孩子多听整个句子,理解整个句子的意思,提高整体英语理解水平,会更有效。
之所以给大家团贝恩施字卡,是因为背面有句型:
孩子们能理解整个句子的意思。
而且不需要联网,不需要设置,不需要点读笔,插卡阅读,使用方便。
