今天我们来读《做鬼脸》。Look at the cover! What were the children doing?

They were making faces!

What kind of faces were they making?
他们都做了什么鬼脸？
Chip was like this (
parent do it)
.Chip就这样(父母表演)。
Biff was like this (

Kipper was like this (

The family was playing a game.
我们正在玩游戏。
Dad got a card which said 'fierce'.
父亲拿到一张写着凶的卡片。
So Dad put on a fierce face.
父亲表情凶狠。
“Good job, ”said Chip, “That’s very fierce.”
“很棒，”Chip说，这很凶猛。
He gave Dad a thumps-up.
他对父亲竖起大拇指。
Chip got a card which said 'sad'.Chip拿到一张写着难过的卡片。
Chip put on a sad face.

Dad clapped his hands.

She was so frightened that her hat fell off.

Dad was surprised by Mum's performance.

Kipper呢？
Oh. He went into another room.

What was Kipper doing in another room?

He was eating!

There was a lot of delicious food on the table.

There was a birthday cake, some cupcakes, cookies, sandwiches, and so on.

Kipper was holding a sandwich in his right hand and a pie in his left hand.

Kipper was hungry.

在英联邦的主要国家，如英国、澳大利亚和新西兰，成人标志有两个年龄，一个是18岁，另一个是21岁。现在，当一个人18岁时，他已经成为法律上的成年人，有权选举和被选举，有权购买烟酒，有权在未经父母同意的情况下结婚和签订合同，但传统上，成年年龄是21岁。
为了庆祝成年，每个人都会在成年人18岁或21岁时为他举办热闹的聚会（an extravagant party），请亲朋好友回家，吃大餐，开酒戒。所以，在这本书里，妈妈戴了一个21 Again品牌，就是想回到21岁，类似于我们会在蛋糕上写的永远18岁。
特别提示
1. 每个宝宝的年龄和基础都不一样，所以没有必要完全遵循上面的文本。如果孩子感兴趣，可以多说，如果不感兴趣，可以少说。
2. 不要翻译，只要孩子理解，或看图就能理解，或者父母可以用肢体语言或指物的形式让孩子理解。
3. 假如真的不能理解，可以适当解释，但不需要字对字翻译。
