为什么儿童节？ Children's Day？

在许多场合，kid=child 两者可以互换。都指儿童、儿童、未成年，在家庭关系中，都指儿童。

child：是 children 法律意义上的单数形式，是指18岁以下的未成年人，生物学上指青春期前儿童。

kid：它是一种用于儿童的俚语，在任何学术或专业领域用。因此，作为一个正式场合使用的节日名称，当然是 Children's Day 啦。

两者的本质区别在于：kid属于非正式（informal）口语表达，child是正规的(formal)书面表达。

因此，当一个国际节日——六一儿童节被选词命名时，自然会选择更正式的节日children（child复数)。

kid——提到kid，看美剧的时候，我们会发现他们特别喜欢用kid称呼比自己小的人，即使对方已经成年。kid就等于是son儿童，年轻人，大多是长辈对年轻一代的亲切称谓，有一种语重心长、殷切鼓励的感觉。
