关联词汇

从上图及其表示可以看出，关联词主要是指近义词或近义词，先看图中所示：

Related words are words with almost the same meaning.

关联词是指意义几乎相同的词。

Related words can have shades of meaning.

相关词语可能有不同的含义。

苗爸特别喜欢这套训练的创意，尤其是可爱的小袋鼠，简直是人人爱，孩子一定会喜欢这个创意作业。

让我们先看看上图中的四组 related words

tiny, small, little

cry, sob, weep

big, large, huge

wet, soggy, soaked

收集和整理相关单词的一个主要好处是，如果你知道一个常见的单词，你就会明白其他几个related words就是这样。例如，在第一组中little和small属于高频词，意思是小 tiny 意思是小。

农场与家庭

这次训练分为两部分，第一部分是根据农场和家庭对表中的单词进行分类，说明如下：

Directions: Cut and paste the words to the correct columns.

表示：将单词剪切粘贴到正确的列中。

第二部分是造句，说明如下：

Directions: Write 3 sentences using 3 related words from above.

说明：用以上三个相关单词写三个句子。

对于中国孩子来说，分类并不难，造句也不容易。如果写作有困难，也可以改成口头造句，降低试题难度，然后逐渐转化为书面写作练习。

寻找词汇

如图所示，这是一个分类孩子准确分类单词的分类培训材料。表示如下：

Directions: Read the clue. Write the two related words on the lines.

说明：阅读线索。把这两个相关的词写在横线上。

Two words that tell how something is cold.

2个描述冷事物的词。

Two words that tel‖ how to make art.

2个描述如何画画的词。

Two words that tell types of weather.

描述天气类型的两个词。

学会分类，阅读句子，努力提高孩子的阅读理解能力。

场所与玩具

苗的父亲发现吃大蛋筒的小男孩特别受欢迎。当他完成这个问题时，他必须先买一个大蛋筒。与前一张图片类似，该训练也分为两部分。第一部分是一项手工活动来锻炼孩子的实践能力。

Directions:Cut and paste the scoops to the correct cones.

说明：将勺子切成合适的圆锥体。

第二部分也是造句活动：

Directions:Write 2 sentences using words from above.

说明：用上面的单词写两个句子。

这张图片中的单词比较简单，分类也比较容易。玩具是孩子们的最爱，应该快速选择玩具的词汇：ball, doll, skate board, blocks

识别关联词

苗爸爸真的很佩服外国人的创造力，一个词汇分类训练，做了这么多花样。当然，这样做的目的只有一个，可以激发孩子的兴趣。让我们先看一下:

Directions: Read the words on the bugs. Color the related words. Write the two unrelated words on the lines below.

指示：阅读昆虫上的单词。把相关的单词涂上颜色。在下面的水平线上写下两个不相关的单词。

这项工作将阅读、写作和着色结合在一起，增强了原本单调的词汇训练的趣味性。

不同含义

虽说关联词（related words）词义相似，但仍有不同的含义。如图所示：

Directions: Read the two words in the middle. Write them in order based on their meaning.

指示：在中间读两个单词。按顺序写下它们的意思。

这个问题通过修饰词的比较等级来区分两个关联词，例如：

第一组单词：small 和 tiny 与small 相比，tiny较小，所以应该填写smaller的下面。

最后一行的单词：pig 和 piglet piglet是小猪，自然比pig 要younger了。
