2004年12月26日，我决定花5500元给女儿买一套英语学习教材。当时开发区的房价只有每平方米1600元。我妻子一开始不同意。因为她说不出我，所以在2005年1月3日，我们一起拿下了这套教材。

说实话，并不是说《阶梯儿童英语》这套教材有多好。主要原因是当时我已经明白了舍得的道理。如果我愿意花那么多钱，我必须用行动赚回我花的钱。从另一个角度来看，我花钱买的是自己的执行力。

从拿到教材的第一天起，我就开始坚持每天晚上睡觉前给女儿玩英语CD好了。那时我女儿刚过三岁，除了听，她什么都不会。而且，因为她没有任何英语基础，所以根本不懂。

没关系，懂不懂是她的事，有没有准时播放是我的事。我相信，坚持听下去，听久了，总有一天她能听懂。
